WHAT TO EAT: If smoky, barbecued pork and perfectly seasoned fries are your thing, Guerrilla Ultima has the menu for you.

DINING DEETS: A recent Sunday brunch included Guerrilla Hashish ($12), layered yumminess of plancha (grilled) potatoes, tender smoked pork, aioli and - wait for it - an egg over easy. Trust us; the combination of flavors was delightful. We also consumed the equally tasty Ultima Guerrilla fries ($7), lightly seasoned with smoked paprika and garlic, and topped with homemade chili. "That's a homemade meal right there," said one taster. Yes, there are healthy options, too, such as miso broccoli and spicy cauliflower salad, both $4.

DRINKS: Pellegrino flavored sodas ($2), and water, Pepsi or Mountain Dew (all $1)

FIND IT: Sunday and Wednesday nights on Morris Street near 2nd, outside the 2nd Street Brew House. Check social media for other locations.

BACKSTORY: Chef Robert Legget, 40, opened Guerrilla Ultima nearly a year ago with his wife, Mercedes Legget, 34, who wears multiple hats, including business manager and waitress. He's all about the smoking, recently acquiring his prized Lang BBQ Smoker Cooker after competing in the International Chefs Congress SMOKE@ICC in New York City. ("He fell in love with it," Mercedes says.)

Robert Legget smokes various cuts of meats Mondays and Tuesdays, using cherrywood logs. Beef is smoked every day for 20 minutes with mesquite, hickory or cherrywood.

Legget has worked at Susanna Foo and Cuba Libre, and in Miami and Texas. He clearly is a fan of global cuisine. The winner of the MANNA Guac-Off in June describes his mobile eatery as a combination of Latin, Asian and Texan influences.

QUOTE: "American food is everything," Legget said. "I cook exactly what I want."
