Review: This longtime Maine lobster-roll addict got overexcited by Red Lobster's website photo of its new Lobster Lovers' Grilled Cheese because it looked like lumps of lobster meat swaddled in cheese - in other words, "a lobstah roll wit."

My anticipation built as I sat near the live lobster tank, where a little girl, upon seeing the chef remove a lobster and head toward the kitchen, ran back to her table and shouted, "Mommy! Mommy! A lobster is on the loose!"

Four warm, freshly-baked, scampi-flavored Cheddar Bay Biscuits - OMG delicious! - preceded the arrival of my Lobster Lovers' Grilled Cheese, which was a distant cousin of the one in the photo.

If a lobster was indeed on the loose, only one lump of its meat ended up in my sandwich. The rest was lobster slivers smothered in gruyere, provolone, fontina and white Cheddar cheese. So my $8.99 lunch was biscuit scampi and lobster skimpy.

Summary: Red Lobster's regular lunches - such as garlic shrimp scampi or 12 hand-breaded shrimp, both $9.29 - are a lot more special.
