Donate Your Surplus Zucchini

Support a cause that feeds those in need - the healthy way. Starting Saturday and continuing through Sept. 21, Philabundance, the region's largest hunger relief organization, is partnering with WXTU-FM (92.5) for the 20th anniversary of the Share the Harvest program. The goal: to collect any surplus from local gardeners' harvests and donate the produce to those in need throughout the region.

Donations can be dropped off on Saturdays between 10 a.m. and noon at 10 locations. All of the produce collected from local gardeners will be delivered to area food pantries. Volunteers are needed each Saturday during drop-off times, and afterward to make deliveries to the pantries.

For information and volunteer interest, e-mail sharetheharvest@philabundance.org. For drop-off locations, visit philabundance.org/sharetheharvest
