Review: Granted, cod isn't the most flavorful fish, but this patty was almost flavorless. The panko breading was oily, and the slim smear of tartar sauce wasn't enough to liven things up. The lettuce and bun were fresh, but the bun wasn't toasted as promised. The fries were nice - crispy and tasty. But the beverage, Crystal Lite Lemonade, was watered down.

The surroundings didn't help the experience. Scrub-clad workers from Jefferson University Hospital lingered in the doorway smoking, and the restaurant was dirty. Nationally, Wendy's is undergoing an image-adjustment. Some restaurants, including one in Exton, now feature lounge seating with fireplaces, flat-screen TVs and Wi-Fi. The Walnut Street location we visited could use the upgrade.

Summary: Stick to the burgers, and make them takeout.
