TV picks: 'War Dogs,' new 'Mythbusters,' 'Mindy Project' finale and more

What's new or noteworthy on television in the coming week.

The Warfighters. For Veterans Day, a four-episode marathon of documentary series that looks at missions of U.S. Special Operations Forces. 8 p.m. Saturday, History Channel.

AMC Visionaries: Robert Kirkman's Secret History of Comics. Six-part series from the creator of The Walking Dead features interviews with such comic world figures as Stan Lee, Patty Jenkins, Lynda Carter, Kevin Smith, Famke Janssen, J.K. Simmons, Michelle Rodriguez, and Todd McFarlane. Premieres over two nights. 11 p.m. Sunday and 10 p.m. Monday, AMC.

War Dog: A Soldier's Best Friend. Actor Channing Tatum produced this documentary about the relationship of  U.S. Special Operations soldiers and their canine team members. 8 p.m. Monday, HBO.

Ill Behaviour.  Chris Geere (You're the Worst) is among the stars of this British series Showtime's describing as a "pitch-black comedy." 10:30 p.m. Monday, Showtime.

The Mindy Project. Mindy Kaling's quirky romantic comedy comes to an end after six seasons. But, hey, it's streaming, so if you've never seen it, you can start from the beginning. Tuesday, Hulu.

Mythbusters. The popular — and often explosive — science-investigation series returns with new hosts, Jon Lung and Brian Louden. Among their first quests: "To find out if it's really possible to decapitate a bad guy, zombie or monster so fast, so accurately, that the head and body hold in position for a dramatic pause." Yikes. 9 p.m. Wednesday, Science Channel.

Beyond a Year in Space. An updated look at astronaut Scott Kelly's 12 months on the International Space Station in space, preceded at 8 by a rerun of the Emmy-winning A Year in Space. 9 p.m. Wednesday, WHYY12.

Better Things. Pamela Adlon's show about a single mother (Adlon) and her three daughters ends its second season.  10 p.m. Thursday, FX.
