Insecure. Issa Rae's extraordinary comedy was just given a third season (along with a fourth-season order for its lead-in, Dwayne Johnson's Ballers). What to watch when Game of Thrones leaves you in need of laughs. 10:30 p.m. Sunday, HBO.

The Murder of Laci Peterson. Six-part true-crime documentary begins with the disappearance of pregnant Laci Peterson and includes a jailhouse phone interview with her husband, Scott, who was convicted and sentenced to death for a crime he still claims he didn't commit. 10 p.m. Tuesday, A&E.

Marlon. Marlon Wayans' latest TV show is a sitcom loosely based on his life. He's playing a not particularly mature divorced father who's nevertheless trying to stay on good terms with his more sensible ex (Essence Atkins) for their children's sake. Premieres in back-to-back episodes. 9 and 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, NBC.

Project Runway. The design-focused reality competition is back for a 16th cycle. This season's twist: The runway models will range from sizes 0 to 22. 8 p.m. Thursday, Lifetime.

Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce. The post-breakup comedy returns for a fourth season in which Abby (Lisa Edelstein) and Barbara (Retta) decide to launch a website together. 10 p.m. Thursday, Bravo.

Marvel's The Defenders. Even if you don't like all four equally,  the gradual coming together of Luke Cage (Mike Coulter), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter),  Matt "Daredevil" Murdock (Charlie Cox), and Danny "Iron Fist" Rand (Finn Jones) — you have your rankings, I have mine — is something to see. Sigourney Weaver is delicious as Alexandra, who is decidedly not playing defense. Aug. 18, Netflix.

Halt and Catch Fire. Fourth and final season of the drama set in the heady early days of personal computing and the internet kicks off with a two-hour premiere. 9 p.m. Aug. 19, AMC.
