Kevin Hart to cohost ‘Tonight Show’ with Fallon for a night

The latest gimmick from the NBC late-night show — celebrity cohosts — began last spring with Cardi B.

Philly's Kevin Hart will cohost NBC's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, Sept. 19, as one stop on his publicity tour for his latest movie, Night School, which is set to open Sept. 28.

Cardi B reportedly made Tonight Show history in April when she cohosted with Fallon, entering with him and participating in the monologue.

Hart, who's appeared seven times already on the Tonight Show, will chat with Fallon about his movie and participate in the interview of the night's other guest, animal expert Robert Irwin, the son of the late Crocodile Hunter star Steve Irwin and one of the stars of  new Animal Planet series, Crikey! It's the Irwins, which premieres Oct. 28.
