Would you swivel your seat for a better look at John Legend?

The Penn grad — and newly minted EGOT winner — will join NBC's The Voice for its spring 2019 season, the network announced Thursday.

Legend, who won an Emmy this past weekend as a producer of NBC's Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert (and is still in contention at Monday's Primetime Emmys for playing the lead in that production), will occupy one of the swivel chairs for the blind auditions beside returning coaches Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton, building his team to compete with them.

"I'm thrilled to join the coaches of The Voice,"  Legend said in a  statement released by NBC. "I've been a guest and mentor on the show multiple times and I'm so excited to discover talented singers and help them make the most of their gift. I hope the world is ready for #TeamJL."

Legend who graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1999, won an Oscar for cowriting (with Common) the song "Glory" in Selma and a Tony as a producer of August Wilson's Jitney. He's won 10 Grammy Awards.

The fall cycle — the 15th season — of The Voice  begins at 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, with Jennifer Hudson coaching with Clarkson, Levine, and Shelton.
