How to watch and stream the Eagles-Colts game

The Eagles (1-1) will take on the Indianapolis Colts (1-1) this afternoon at Lincoln Financial Field in a Week 3 match-up that features the return of Carson Wentz, who has sat out since suffering a season-ending injury against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 14 last season. To mark his return, Wentz will be sporting some unique, custom-made cleats.

Eagles fans looking for a free streaming option are in luck. The NFL is streaming all primetime, national and in-market games for free this season on both the NFL Mobile and Yahoo Sports apps. The only catch is the game can only be streamed for free on phones and tablets.

Another week, another former Eagles foe calling the Birds game.

Daryl Johnston, who spent 11 seasons in Dallas as the Cowboys' fullback prior to his second career as an NFL analyst, will be calling this afternoon's Week 3 matchup between the Eagles and the Indianapolis Colts on Fox (Chris Myers will handle play-by-play, while Laura Okmin will be the sideline reporter). This game would normally appear on CBS, but the NFL's television contract allows the league to "cross-flex" some AFC away games (the game is taking place in Philadelphia) to FOX.

As a result, it's the second week in a row the Eagles will draw a former adversary in the booth. Last week's 27-21 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was called by two former players with some history against the Eagles – former Buccaneers cornerback Ronde Barber and former New York Giants running back Tiki Barber.

Johnston has called many Eagles games over his career, and is typically pretty solid in the booth. But during a 2013 Eagles game against the Minnesota Vikings, he was forced to awkwardly excuse himself during the middle of his halftime analysis, causing a confused Kenny Albert to ask, "Where you going, Daryl?" (For the record, Johnston was moving to get a better view of the second-half kickoff.)

Over on NBC Sports Philadelphia, Eagles Pregame Live, hosted by Michael Barkann and featuring Seth Joyner, Ray Didinger and Barrett Brooks, will air live at noon. Ed Rendell, the former Pennsylvania governor and Daily News columnist, will join the crew for Eagles Postgame Live following the game, which will initially air on NBC Sports Philadelphia+ until the end of Phillies Postgame Live. End Game, hosted by Marc Farzetta (who will start soon as 97.5 The Fanatic's new morning show host) will wrap up the day.

As far as local network pre-game shows go, FOX 29 will air Fox 29 Gameday Live at 10 a.m. (featuring Bill Anderson, Gary Cobb, Kristen Rodgers and Howard Eskin) and CBS3 will air CBS3 Sunday Kickoff at 10:30 a.m. (featuring Don Bell, Lesley Van Arsdall and Pat Gallen). NBC10 will air Eagles Gameday Kickoff at 9:30 a.m. (hosted by Danny Pommells) and Eagles GamePlan at 10 a.m. (featuring John Clark, Ike Reese and Mike Quick).

• Quarterback Carson Wentz may be making his first start of the season after recovering from two torn knee ligaments, but Jeff McLane writes that Wentz is already on to his next challenge.

• Wide receiver Jordan Matthews, whom the Eagles signed on Wednesday after Mike Wallace broke his fibula against the Buccaneers, could contribute this afternoon thanks to his knowledge of the playbook, according to Zach Berman.

• Running back Corey Clement, who was expected to get the bulk of the carries today, was surprisingly listed as "questionable" on Friday with a quadriceps injury. Les Bowen writes the Eagles' only fully healthy running backs for this week's game are undrafted rookie Adams, making his NFL debut, and Wendell Smallwood.

• Former Eagles offensive coordinator Frank Reich is the new head coach of the Colts, and as a result, his familiarity with Doug Pederson's playbook could be the edge the Colts need to pull off the upset in Philadelphia.

• Andrew Luck comes into Philadelphia working hard to remove the rust of sitting out a full year due to a shoulder injury. So far this season, Luck has completed 60 of 84 passes for 498 yards and four touchdowns, but has also thrown three interceptions.
