Scotty McCreey better book a ticket to Philadelphia

Hey Scotty McCreery, welcome to Philadelphia. It was announced this morning that the reigning American Idol champ will be belting out the 'National Anthem' just prior to the first game of World Series (Wednesday, 10/19 on Fox).

Better buy your ticket to Philly now, son, because after the Fightin’ Phils have mopped up the National League, they have home field advantage in the Series.

Wouldn’t hurt to practice that song either. The old anthem is a notorious obstacle course for singers, especially baritones like you.

McCreery’s been a busy boy. This weekend he shot the video for his next single, “The Trouble With Girls” at his high school in Garner, North Carolina, where the 17-year-old is still technically a senior. (They must have a lenient absentee policy.)

But the big news for Scotty fans: his debut album, Clear as Day, gets released tomorrow. Don’t trample each other, girls.
