The American Idol summer tour comes to town a week from tomorrow, but you can get a taste of what will doubtless be the show stopper right now.
Scotty McCreery, who as the winner of Idol’s season 10, automatically gets headliner status on the tour, has released the video for his single “I Love You This Big” (see clip below).
It features the Tar Heel teen in casual dress and mode, setting up to perform in a small park, as lovers of all ages gather in front of the stage. None of them seem to be paying much attention to Scotty.
You see many of the stage mannerisms he exhibited on Idol, especially the thousand yard stare he fixes to the left of the camera so we can admire his profile.
Maybe it’s just me, but in this first video, McCreery kind of reminds me of another Idol singer from North Carolina: Clay Aiken.
