Video: Tonight's TV highlight: 'Sharknado'!

Tara Reid stars in a soon-to-be SyFy classic

Video: Tonight’s TV highlight: ‘Sharknado’!

Think you’ve seen it all? Ha! Not until you’ve seen Tara Reid star in Sharknado!

No, it’s not a happy hour cocktail – although Tara would probably prefer that. It’s the latest cheesy disaster mashup from SyFy, the channel that gave us Dinoshark and Sharktopus.

The premise: a huge swarm of man-eating sharks is swept up in a tornado that stalls over downtown Los Angeles. Head for the cabanas, Malibu Ken.

Oh wait, that’s not Barbie’s boyfriend, it’s Ian Ziering (Beverly Hills 90210). Sure the tropical shirt is ugly, but at least Ian gets to deliver timeless lines like, “We can’t just stand here and wait for sharks to come raining down on us!”

On her Twitter feed, (161, 371 followers) Reid compares the film to Snakes on a Plane. Favorably we think.

Sharknado airs Thursday at 9 p.m. on SyFy.
