Aug 05 (TheWrap.com) - Amy Poehler and brother Greg Poehler-created summer comedy “Welcome to Sweden” has been renewed for a second season.
The network has ordered 10 episodes with a return date still to be determined.
The renewal arrives as “Welcome to Sweden” has averaged a low 0.8 rating, 3 share in the advertiser-coveted Adults 18-49 demographic and 2.9 million viewers overall in “live plus same day” averages.
Apparently, the ratings have been low across the board this summer. The July 10 premiere of “Welcome to Sweden” averaged a 0.9/3 in 18-49 and 3.5 million viewers overall, which made it the second-highest rated summer comedy debut among seven on the four broadcast networks in the last five years (since ABC's “The Goode Family” in 2009). It ranked behind only NBC's “Undateable” over that span in the ad demo and total viewers.
