*  INDEPENDENT LENS: 1971. 10 tonight, WHYY12.

On March 8, 1971, a small group calling itself the Citizens' Commission to Investigate the FBI, broke into an FBI office in Media, Delaware County, and stole - and later disseminated - hundreds of secret files. They never got caught, perhaps because they weren't what the FBI expected. "Even today they look like folks you'd see in the landscape department of Home Depot," Daily News movie critic Gary Thompson wrote in his review, noting that "the movie is perhaps most interesting for the way it examines the group's collective on-the-lam cool."

*  SOUTHERN RITES. 9 tonight, HBO.

Penn alum John Legend produced this documentary, in which photographer Gillian Laub revisits the Georgia community whose then-segregated high-school proms she documented in 2009. She's there to cover a candidate hoping to be the county's first African-American sheriff, but a shooting complicates the story.

*  BLACK-ISH. 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, 6ABC.

Sean "Diddy" Combs and Mary J. Blige guest-star in the Season 1 finale.

*  THE LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN. 11:35 p.m. Wednesday, CBS3.

Yes, Dave's last night is Wednesday, because that's the final night of May sweeps, when ratings count just that much more. With Julia Roberts on last week, Tom Hanks coming tonight and Bill Murray - Letterman's first guest on both NBC's "Late Night" and CBS' "Late Show" - scheduled for Tuesday, who'll be there for the very last hour of the host's 33-year run in late night?

*  BETWEEN. Thursday, Netflix.

Jennette McCurdy ("iCarly") stars as a pregnant minister's daughter in this Canadian sci-fi series, set in a small town where something's killing people over 21. (Even MTV and the CW don't do that.) In a departure for Netflix, episodes will be released a week at a time.
