Click & Clack's As the Wrench Turns (8-9 p.m., WHYY TV12) - If ever there was a real-life duo suited for cartoonization, it's Tom and Ray Magliozzi, the Tappet brothers of public radio's
Car Talk. This new sitcom chronicles the adventures of animated incarnations of Click and Clack as they interact with customers, dabble in politics, and look for ways to avoid as much work as possible. In the first episode, the brothers run for president and outsource their radio show to India.
Scare Tactics (10-11 p.m., S-F) -
Tracy Morgan (
30 Rock) is the new host of this series, which puts people in situations designed to scare them silly - emphasis on the silly - and captures their reactions with hidden cameras. The scary scenarios are based on horror and sci-fi films, and care is taken to avoid the subjects' worst terrors - no spiders for the arachnophobes - so nobody is scarred for life.
