A teary goodbye on 'Dancing with the Stars' VIDEO

The latest elimination left not a dry eye in the house

A teary goodbye on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ VIDEO

It’s never a good sign on Dancing With the Stars when they praise your courage and skip over the part about your dancing.

That was what happened last night as guest judge (and two time pro winner) Julianne Hough addressed what would be Valerie Harper’s last sashay with Tristan MacManus. (It may be the only time you see people doing the Viennese Waltz to a song by Fun.)

Beloved TV icon – and ever our Rhoda – Harper conducted herself with grace and resolution throughout the contest, competing while battling brain cancer.

The other lowest scores belonged to Peta Murgatroyd and a shirtless Brant Daugherty and to Emma Slater and Bill Engvall.

Loved Bruno’s comment on Engvall’s moves: “I thought I was going to wet myself; it had everything you want in a samba except timing and rhythm.”
