Woodstock fans, get ready to break out those bell bottoms. Next year's Philadelphia Flower Show theme is "Flower Power."

Exhibits will consider how flowers convey emotions that transcend language, culture, and borders, organizers said at a news conference Thursday. Major themes will include community, healing, peace, and hope.

There will also be plenty of events inspired by the Flower Power sensibility of the 1960s and 1970s, including a performance by the Beat Tells, a Beatles tribute band, during the show's opening dance party.

"The power of flowers will extend to all parts of the show, including horticulture, color, scent, and more," said Sam Lemheney, chief of shows and events for the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society.

The show will be at the Convention Center from March 2 to 10, 2019.

The Flower Show is also hosting one of the world's most prestigious flower design competition, the FTD World Cup 2019. The competition has not been held in the United States since 1985 and will showcase award-winning designers from more than 20 countries. The floral designers have to create four designs apiece, all of which will be incorporated into the entrance garden, Lemheney said.
