Bounce Skate Roll with King Britt. The Philadelphia house, funk, and avant-garde DJ — and auteur behind After …, the soulful sci-fi project under his Phloston Paradigm moniker — spins at a roller-skating party. Music is free; skating is $3. Sunday at the Blue Cross River Rink.

Steve Gunn. Lansdowne-born guitarist who works country blues, Gypsy jazz, and transcendental folk into the plugged-in grooves of his exemplary 2016 album Eyes on the Lines. Free. Sunday at the Twilight Music Festival on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

The Bill Frisell Trio featuring Tony Scher and Kenny Wolleson. Restless jazz guitarist Frisell reaches beyond traditional sources for inspiration, whether the movie music of 2016's When You Wish Upon a Star or the Carter Family and Fats Domino tunes on Small Town, his new album with bassist Thomas Morgan. Free. Monday at the Sunset Jazz Series at Wiggins Park.

Miguel, "Make America Great Again." An a cappella cover of Pussy Riot's 2016 anti-Trump protest song by Los Angeles Mexican American and African American slinky soul man who asks: "What do you want the world to look like, what do you want it to be?"

Flamin' Groovies. A reunited version of the band featuring Cyril Jordan, who cofounded the San Francisco proto-punk power-pop outfit in 1965, and Chris Wilson, with whom he collaborated on Shake Some Action in 1975. Fantastic Plastic, the Groovies first new album in 24 years, is due in September. With the Whips. Thursday at Johnny Brenda's.
