In just over a week, Canadian rocker Neil Young will wrap a short run on the road with a couple of surprise solo performances in Upper Darby.

Young will perform at the Tower Theater on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, according to his Neil Young Archives site. His Philadelphia area performances will come following stops at Farm Aid on Hartford, Connecticut and the Outlaw Music Festival Tour in Saratoga Springs, New York, as well as two gigs at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York next week.

Fans who are members of the Neil Young Archives site, which the artist launched earlier this year, can purchase advance tickets via the webpage. Currently, a pre-sale is underway for Young's dates in Upper Darby, and fans can grab tickets using the password "NEILYOUNGARCHIVES," according to the site. Tickets start at $69.50 before fees.

Membership to the Neil Young Archives site are currently free. However, the site will begin to charge $1.99 per month, or $19.99 per year, at some point in the future, according to Young's Facebook page, which announced the site back in May. The site provides a back catalog of high quality recordings of Young's music, as well as news and concert announcements.

The website is the latest attempt at a technical innovation from Young, who released his own digital media player and music service, dubbed Pono, back in 2015. After poor sales, Pono was discontinued in 2017.

News of Young's upcoming Philly dates comes a few weeks after his headline-making marriage to Daryl Hannah last month. The pair had been dating since 2014, according to CBS, and tied the knot in San Luis Obispo in August.
