Summer Pop Playlist, from Daft Punk to "Diane Young"

Click and play, or look and listen.

My annotated Summer 2013 Pop Playlist is in the Sunday Inquirer A & E section. There's a click- and-play Spotify widget for the playlist below.

It kicks off with big hits like Daft Punk's "Get Lucky," Miley Cyrus' "We Can't Stop" and Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines," before getting into some by-turn jaunty and sultry jams you're less likely to have already heard ad nauseam, such as Lorde's "Royals," Mikal Cronin's "See It My Way" and Camera Obscura's "Do It Again," and winding up with Vampire Weekend's "Diane Young."

That's Daft Punk's Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo hiding behind their helmets, though which one is which, I couldn't say. The playlist and a selection of videos are below. Don't miss Mary-Anne from Gilligan's Island in the clip for Work Drugs' "Mavericks."
