Chris Kelly, of 90s rap duo Kris Kross, passed away yesterday at an Atlanta hospital after he was found unconscious in his home. Authorities said that it may have been caused by a drug overdose.

According to The Philly Post, Kris Kross made their legendary hit "Jump" in Philadelphia's Studio 4, Digital Tekniques and Digital Sound. The song was featured on their 1992 debut album Totally Krossed Out, which was distributed by local label Ruffhouse Records (associated with Columbia Records).

Additionally, follow up singles like "Da Bomb" were also released by Ruffhouse. The label was originally located in Northern Liberties but moved to Conshohocken in 1994. The group then later signed with Judgement Records, which was founded by two members of Ruffhouse.

Many will look back fondly on the rap group's career, especially for their breakout album; which sold 4 million copies, hit the top of the Billboard charts and went certified 4x platinum. Totally Krossed Out also produced four more hit singles including "Warm It Up", "I Missed the Bus" and "It's A Shame."
