Speaking of local venues, here are some great shows coming up: John Moreland. A powerfully voiced Oklahoma songwriter who specializes in Americana songs so doleful - sample title: "You Don't Care Enough for Me to Cry" - that his fans have started an Instagram account at the address @cheerupjohnmoreland. 8 p.m. Tuesday at World Cafe Live.

John Moreland.

Justify Your Love. A high-concept musical game show in which contestants must demonstrate their affection for an objectively horrendous pop song in front of a panel of "very judgey judges." Hosted by T.J. Hurley. 7 p.m. Wednesday at PhilaMOCA.

Public Image Ltd. The experimental post-punk pioneers founded by John Lydon - author of his new, second autobiography, Anger is an Energy - after he got tired of being a Sex Pistol. 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Trocadero.

Angie Stone/Allen Stone. Shout-out to the late Laura Nyro: There's a "Stoned Soul Picnic" happening on back-to-back nights on South Street. Angie Stone is an African American neo-soul songstress signed to Shanachie Records. Allen Stone is a rising blue-eyed soul man who's a protégé of Daryl Hall. Angie Stone is 8 p.m. Wednesday, and Allen Stone is 8 p.m. Thursday at the TLA.

Cooder-White-Skaggs. The great and rarely touring guitarist Ry Cooder, teaming up with fellow ace string player Ricky Skaggs and bluegrass-gospel singer Sharon White. Should be a special evening. 8 p.m. Thursday at the Keswick Theatre.
