Art Splash, a summer-long introduction to the Philadelphia Museum of Art's collection, highlights everybody's favorite, Arms and Armor, with interactive tours, hands-on activities, treasure hunts, looking games, and more at the museum, 26th Street and the Parkway. Shakespeare on love

The Bard's gentlest comic romance, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, is presented by the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival at DeSales University's Schubert Theater, 2755 Station Ave., in Center Valley, Lehigh County. Monster movies

Godzilla gets a glitzy new reboot and the Blob gets a festival, but Mothra, arguably the more complicated and sensitive monster, is always consigned to second billing, it seems. Someday it may be her turn to headline (supported, of course, by her inches-high backup singers Emi and Yumi), but for now it's guest shots - such as the one in the 15th annual Blobfest, celebrating the 1958 classic filmed in the Philly suburbs and starring Steve McQueen. The Phoenixville fest starts with a reenactment of the "crowd running out of the theater" scene on Friday and continues with a street fair Saturday featuring a parade, music, car show, and trivia with Joel Hodgson of Mystery Science Theater 3000 (2:30 p.m. Saturday). There are double-bill screenings of The Blob, with Mothra and King Kong vs. Godzilla on Saturday and The Giant Spider on Sunday at Colonial Theatre, 227 Bridge St., in Phoenixville. Classic rock

It's all showbiz, after all. Just as Sinatra went from Paramount bobby-soxers to Vegas stages, so Crosby, Stills and Nash have gone from Woodstock hippies to Atlantic City showrooms. Big easy
