Brilliant 'Boardwalk Beat' in A.C.
The lights are bright in Atlantic City - brighter and more musical than ever. The "Boardwalk Beat" 3-D light & sound show nightly transforms the ocean-facing front of Boardwalk Hall (between Georgia and Mississippi Avenues at Kennedy Plaza).
Running till Sept. 2, it combines 3-D lights, videos, and images with an eight-decade retrospective of popular music in Atlantic City, from the ragtime of the 1920s to the hard rock of the 1990s.
It's free, it's family-friendly, and it plays every half hour after dark, starting at 9:30 most nights except Thursdays (10:05 start), and going until 12:30 a.m. (1:30 a.m. on Saturdays). The "Boardwalk Beat" series of light shows is put on by the Atlantic City Alliance.
