MOVIE SYNOPSIS
Avatar


"Avatar" is the story of an ex-Marine who finds himself thrust into hostilities on an alien planet filled with exotic life forms. As an Avatar, a human mind in an alien body, he finds himself torn between two worlds, in a desperate fight for his own survival and that of the indigenous people.

When a tree falls in a forest, and James Cameron is there to direct, it definitely makes a sound. An earsplitting sound. Of course, in "Avatar," the tree is 500 feet high and felled by missiles launched from a flock of attack helicopters, and it's a sacred tree whose roots are connected to the souls of the forest's indigenous peoples, whose cries of pain are entwined with the noise of the bombs and shattering wood. » Read more
