Following the death of cast member Paul Walker late last month, Universal postponed the July 2014 release of Fast & Furious 7. Now, though, we’ve got an official release date—and it’s all thanks to Vin Diesel.

Diesel made the announcement via his Facebook page Monday night, posting a picture of himself and Walker in the last scene they filmed together:

"The last scene we filmed together…

There was a unique sense of completion, of pride we shared… in the film we were now completing… the magic captured… and, in just how far we've come…

Fast and Furious 7 will be released…

April 10th 2015!

P.s. He'd want you to know first…"

With that, Universal has pushed F&F7 back nearly a full year, but indicated in an official announcement that Walker will still play a central role in the film. Shooting is expected to resume early in 2014.
