East Passyunk Tree Lighting Party and Deck the Ave Kick-off
Posted on Fri, Dec 06, 2013
East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District (EPABID) and Passyunk Avenue Revitalization Corporation (PARC) held the annual East Passyunk Tree Lighting Party and kicked off their Deck the Ave festivities on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2013. Almost 1,000 people shopped and walked through open houses in the area. Music from Alphabet Academy carolers and Andrew Jackson School music students filled the air, as kids were entertained with a visit from Santa and cupcakes from the Ms. Goody Cupcake truck. Many local restaurants and shops offered free and discounted cocktails and food. Pennsylvania Senator Larry Farnese, Philadelphia Councilman Mark Squilla, EPABID Executive Director Renee Gilinger were just a few big names who spoke at the event.
