On a stormy Oct. 2, more than 400 supporters of Community College of Philadelphia turned out to celebrate an "An Evening of Art & Soul," a black-tie-optional gala featuring a show of paintings, sculptures, and photographs crafted by Art Department faculty, alumni, and students.

Guests enjoyed delicious food and a chocolate bar, and danced to the Renaissance Orchestra, which played hits spanning 50 years. The $10,000 in proceeds from the art sale will benefit the college's 50th Anniversary Scholars Program.
