'Cancer is Ugly!' Ugly Sweater Party
Posted on Mon, Dec 16, 2013
The 3rd annual “Cancer is Ugly!” Ugly Sweater Party was held Saturday, Dec. 14th at City Tap House in University City. The evening included an open bar, light fare, live music, and raffle prizes. Celebrity guest judges include Preston and Steve’s Marisa Magnatta, Emmy-award winning media personality Maria Papadakis, Good Day Philadelphia’s Dr. Mike and fashion blogger, personal stylist and contributing columnist for Racked Philly, Ian Michael Crumm. Philadelphia Daily News’ Reuben “Big Rube” Harley couldn’t make the event, so I took his place as a judge. Many of the guests said they bought their sweaters either from Ebay, Goodwill or Sazz Vintage Clothing in Old City. About 300 people in ugly sweaters enjoyed the evening with 10 of those people entering the contest for the ugliest sweaters. Two finalists emerged by the end of the evening.
