The Barnes site: Now and then

After years of litigation, court hearings, protests and fundraising, the renowned Barnes Foundation, long of Latchs Lane in Merion, finally broke ground in November 2009 on a new $150 million museum building along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia. Here's a look at the state of construction today, as well as the property's recent history, followed by the sketches of the new museum.
