Dolph Ziggler on Philly: 'It's always a great atmosphere'

DOLPH ZIGGLER is attending his first Wizard World Philly Con this year - and he says he can't wait.

"Yeah, this is my first Wizard show in Philly, but I've been [to Philly] a million times," Ziggler said. "It's always a great atmosphere, wrestling-fan-wise."

"[This show] is a chance to give back to the fans. [If it wasn't for] the fans, man, I'd be sitting around doing nothing - if they didn't react so loudly to the matches I've been in.

"So, every once in a while, I get a chance to give back - whether it's at Summer Slam or WrestleMania or meet-and-greets. And this is another one of those times."

Ziggler says that he will be as accessible as possible during the weekend.

"You just get to come, say hi [and] ask a couple of questions," he said. "Anything they want to ask is never off limits with me, and if they want to take a couple of pictures, we can make a great time of it.

"That's what WWE is all about," he continued. "Giving back to the fans. Because without them, we wouldn't even have a show."

Ziggler says he'd dreamed about becoming a wrestler from the age of 5.

"My dad took me to a WWE live event," he said. "I grew up in Cleveland. There was no Cleveland venue to hold the WWE, so we drove an hour away.

"We sat far away, but I had a blast and I told my dad, 'I want to be a wrestler,' and about three weeks later I started wrestling - two nights a week at 5 years old.

With all the title belts he's earned over the years, there seems to be little left for Ziggler to accomplish. He says that's far from true, however.

"It's the love of the sport and trying to go down in history," he said. "People say, 'I want to be great, I want to do this, I want to be a champion.' But I'm serious when I say I want to be the greatest ever."

"That isn't some Muhammad Ali talk either," Ziggler concluded. "I back it up every single night, every chance I get."
