Reba McEntire announces spring show at Parx Casino's new Xcite Center

Country music star Reba McEntire will help break in Parx Casino’s new Xcite Center with a performance in the spring.

McEntire will perform at the center in Bucks County  at 8 p.m. April 27 and 28. Tickets go on sale at 11 a.m. Friday, and range from $75 to $175.

The Country Music Hall of Famer released Sing It Now: Songs of Faith & Hope, her 32nd album, last year. It earned her her 15th Grammy Award nomination, for best roots gospel album.

She released her eponymous debut album in 1977. She established a film and television career starting in the 1990s with the monster flick Tremors (the 1996 sequel, Tremors II: Aftershocks, stars Philly’s Kevin Bacon, but McEntire wasn’t involved). Her sitcom, Reba, ran on the CW (formerly the WB) from 2001 to 2007.

The Xcite Center opens officially Jan. 13 with a performance by “25 or 6 to 4” hitmakers Chicago. Other acts scheduled to appear include comedians Bill Engvall and Wayne Brady and musical acts Third Eye Blind, the Commodores, and Rascal Flatts.
