Season three of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt debuted last month, and the series has already been renewed for a fourth season, Netflix announced this week.

Co-created by Upper Darby native Tina Fey and 30 Rock show runner Robert Carlock, Kimmy Schmidt stars Ellie Kemper, Titus Burgess, Carol Kane, and Jane Krakowski. The series follows titular character Kimmy Schmidt (Kemper) as she attempts to rebuild her life in New York City after being forced to live in a cult for 15 years.

Season three of the show, which began streaming May 19, follows Kimmy as she enrolls in college and attempts to find a career that suits her, while BFF Titus (Burgess) heads back to New York worried that his boyfriend has been unfaithful. The season was generally well-received, and currently has a 95 percent rating on review aggregation site Rotten Tomatoes.

Since its 2015 debut, the series has been nominated for 11 Emmy Awards, two of which are for Outstanding Comedy series. Star Kemper has also been nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, and co-star Burgess has been nominated twice for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

No word yet on a premiere date for season four of Kimmy Schmidt. However, as Heavy.com points out, a spring 2018 debut appears likely.
