Remember Craig Rabinowitz, the con artist who killed his wife and then staged a drowning in the bathtub of their Merion home — all while spending money invested in his latex business that didn't exist on a Delilah's stripper named Summer?

The 1997 murder of Stefanie Rabinowitz will be covered at 9 p.m. Thursday on Investigation Discovery's "Behind Mansion Walls."

Montgomery County Commissioner Bruce Castor, who was district attorney at the time, will be interviewed, as will medical examiner Dr. Ian Hood and Ken Englade, author of Everybody's Best Friend.

Former Daily News reporter Jim Nolan should have been included in that panel, as he dutifully and wonderfully covered the case in these pages.

Rabinowitz is serving life in prison. After briefly becoming a nude model and capitalizing on her notoriety from this case, Summer, a/k/a Shannon Reinhart, faded away.

Read more from our column in Tuesday's Daily News.

    Danno;

    do you really think she faded away? she was prominently featured in the HBO show about the strip joint she was then working and the Rabino case was mentioned. NEVER let the facts get in the way of a good gossip story.

    @King: "G-String Divas" was on HBO in 2000. Twelve years ago. Must seem like only yesterday to you....

    Jeff----12 years, 12 minutes....it's all relative in the spank bank.
    It apparently left a mark on you as you remember production dates.

    Haven't they already done a couple of TV treatments of this? A "Forensics Files" a few years back, and just a few months ago a "Scorned: Love Kills"

    Had this been a "Cold Case" from 1997, they would have sampled "MMMBop" on the show during flashbacks. *insert tasteless joke here*

    In my attempt to leave a good solid comment I will say this. This Man was monster, on top of killing his wife he was ripping off friends and family by running a ponzi scheme using his medical supply business as a front. The Tart known as Summer, Just wanted that money, saw her audition for a role in Tony and Tina's Wedding at some South Philadelphia Dinner Theatre in the late 90's "Dreadful"...

    Glad that bas is where is is and he never again sees the light of day, his porr wife sure won't.
