Wow. Growing up in Philly listening to 'DAS, Georgie Woods...the Guy Wit' Da Goods, Butter, Braheim Ach Madea, brings back memories. I'll never forget the day I found out that Butter was a white dude. I mean, after years of listening to him.Know what? Didn't matter a bit. That was one of the coolest things ever for me as a kid. Didn't matter...Rest in Peace my brother. Thanks.

First I was a fan, then a guest on his show while still in high school way back in the 70's, finally a friend and business associate. I was proud to know Joe and to experience his bigness of heart on many occasions. Truly a friend of Philly and that "real soul" music.
