Late night talk show host Conan O'Brien has agreed to headline this year's White House Correspondents' Dinner. This will be O'Brien's second appearance at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, as he cracked some jokes about C-SPAN viewers and his personal sexual history back in 1995.
More than headlining the April 27th event, though, a source tells POLITICO that O'Brien will play a larger role in the Correspondents' Association's scholarship initiatives.
The source said that beyond the comedy and celebrity fest, O’Brien has privately agreed to join forces with the Correspondents' Association on other initiatives focused on the group’s scholarship fund. [POLITICO]
Last year's WHCD was hosted by another late night star, Jimmy Kimmel.
