Alycia Lane is out of here

Alycia Lane, the former CBS3 anchor, flies out today to L.A. and her new home in the Hollywood Hills.

Lane is joining beau Chris Booker, who last month started hosting afternoons on L.A.’s KAMP, a top-40 station. He was morning man on Philly’s Q102 when they started dating in fall 2007.

Lane, who has a buyer for her Washington Square condo, said she hopes to land a TV job.

She's been off the air since December 2007, when she was accused of striking a New York police officer. The charges were later dismissed.

No matter how you feel about Alycia Lane...Larry Mendte is a coward and a convicted criminal! His actions do not deserve excuses. I wish Alycia the best. Hopefully, wherever she lands in TV it won't be next to an almost over the hill newsman who is affraid that the intelligent, beautiful woman next to him is getting more attention than him.

Meanwhile stations keep hiring more Ken and Barbie spoiled brat prima donas, putting them in front of a TeleprompTer and calling them "journalists." The current crop make Ted Baxter look like he had integrity. And the industry wonders why their "news" is losing audience and they aren't making money like they used to. Will anyone care when these shows go the way of "Bowling for Dollars" and "Chief Halftown?"

Mendte did no email the picture, nor did he admit to it in court. In fact, he admitted to nothing specific - but Lane did admit to emailing the pics. Mendte was accused of leaking the email from Eisen's wife, Suzy Shuster. Mendte is a good guy and a philly guy....I feel bad for him in this whole mess.

bhs1944, no - she emailed them (and they weren't half naked, unless every parent at the Jersey Shore allows their kids to be "half naked"). He intercepted it and sent to that fine Inq or DN "journalist" who then publicized it. But I agree that aliveandwell is a putz.
