Kathy Orr, the mighty meteorologist so rudely cashiered by CBS3 two months ago after 12 years of stalwart service, has stuck a perfect landing at Fox 29, where she'll have a regular slot at 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. weekdays.

Fox 29 made the announcement with a short statement on Wednesday. Orr, who will debut Sunday evening, chimed in with this tweet: "I love Philadelphia, and am thrilled to continue my career with FOX 29. It's a perfect fit. See U Sunday."

A repeated local Emmy winner and member of the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia Hall of Fame, Orr began her career in the Philly TV market in 1998. She did weekend weather at WCAU-TV before joining KYW-TV in 2003. Since then, she's been a mainstay on Philly TV and radio. With news anchor Chris May and sports guy Beasley Reece, Orr was invited to depart CBS3 in a July 1 purge directed by incoming station manager Brien Kennedy. She was replaced at 6, 10, and 11 p.m. by Kate Bilo.

Fox 29 chief weather guy Scott Williams will now move to the 6 p.m. newscast.
