Duck, Donald! Everybody wants to dump Trump

Also in Tattle: Tiger Woods allegedly messes up someone else’s marriage and Tattle throws a penalty flag on TV Land.

DONALD TRUMP has become like a skunk at a picnic.

Everyone's trying to get as far away as possible.

Yesterday, Macy's cut the cord with Trump's menswear line, and said in a statement, "We welcome all customers, and respect for the dignity of all people is a cornerstone of our culture . . . In light of statements made by Donald Trump, we have decided to discontinue our business relationship."

As the type of guy who when dumped by a woman, yelled back, "I dumped you first!" Trump responded in his own statement:

"Clearly, NBC and Macy's support illegal immigration, which is totally detrimental to the fabric of our once great country. Both Macy's and NBC totally caved at the first sight of potential difficulty with professional agitators, who are not looking out for the people they purport to represent, but only for themselves."

Well . . . if that's not the egomaniacal pot calling the kettle self-centered.

* Also running from Trump as if he were a rabid grizzly, the PGA, LPGA and USGA said that The Donald's views don't fit with their goals to grow golf as a sport.

All three groups have tournaments scheduled at Trump courses in the next two years.

Trump's response: "They all know I'm right."

* Lastly, even if the Miss USA pageant can find someone to televise it, it may be like a silent movie.

The entertainment - Flo Rida, country's Craig Wayne Boyd and pop singer Natalie La Rose - has droppped out, as have the co-hosts, "Dancing with the Stars" judge Cheryl Burke and MSNBC anchor Thomas Roberts.

* Yesterday wasn't a particularly good day for presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton, either.

According to People magazine, Kim Kardashian endorsed her.

Look who's swinging

There've long been rumors that the PGA Tour is like a traveling sex party with players cheating on their wives and girlfriends with other players' wives and girlfriends, with anybody's wives or girlfriends or really . . . just about anybody.

Oh, to be cursed with a lot of free time, a lot of money and an oversized wood.

Which brings us to Tiger Woods.

The National Enquirer (not to be confused with Golf Digest) reports that the reason former Tiger GF Lindsey Vonn dumped him is because she caught him cheating with the wife of fellow golfer Jason Dufner.

Jason and Amanda Boyd got divorced in April after less than two years of wedlock.

"Even though Tiger dated Lindsey for years, he had a 'thing' for Amanda," an unnamed source told the Enquirer. "At first, it was just innocent flirting, but earlier this year it became serious. They've been having a steamy affair for several months."

Lindsey, to say the least, wasn't pleased.

"Amanda is gorgeous, and she's known as a big flirt with the other players on the PGA tour," another insider told the Enquirer. "When Jason found out Amanda had been with Tiger, he was devastated!"

Maybe struggling Tiger hoped Amanda would be his new schwing coach.

Or read his putts.

The Enquirer reports that according to divorce papers filed on March 16, Jason and Amanda separated on Feb. 17 due to "a complete incompatibility of temperament," which caused an "irretrievable breakdown of the marriage."

For allegedly cheating on Jason, Amanda got $2.5 million and a Mercedes-Benz SUV in the divorce settlement, while Jason retained ownership of two Alabama homes, a bad back and a messed up game.

"Right now, the only sure thing about Amanda and Tiger's relationship," said an unnamed Enquirer source, "is that it will end with Tiger cheating on her!"

'Hazzard' pay

TV Land has dumped "The Dukes of Hazzard."

The network is confirming that reruns of the 1980s action comedy, with its Confederate flag imagery, have been pulled from the schedule.

This seems like overkill - and sort of misses the point.

It's a good thing to remove the flag as a symbol going forward - especially from the South Carolina state house - but trying to erase it from popular entertainment of the past strikes Tattle as a weak attempt to deny our history.

Are we next going to make Lynyrd Skynyrd change their album covers?

Rewrite "Gone with the Wind"?

There are countless pop culture mistakes over the years that we wish we could take back - but we can't. And we shouldn't.

Yes, it's embarrassing to watch old movies from the '30s and '40s and see every black person in a subservient role, but that's the way it was. We should be embarrassed. It's good to be embarrassed.

Removing the "Dukes" doesn't change the past or improve the future. It just makes a few executives feel good for a few minutes for the wrong reasons.
