What Rhimes with success? Shonda's book says yes

Also in Tattle: Disney’s new interactive toy, Iggy gets engaged, Tattle judges burgers and more

SINCE TV super-showrunner Shonda Rhimes ("Grey's Anatomy," "How to Get Away with Murder," "Scandal," etc.) isn't busy enough, Simon & Schuster will publish her book, Year of Yes, in the fall.

This is as opposed to Tattle's book, Year of No.

According to thewrap.com, Rhimes in the book will chronicle the power of saying "yes."

"Saying 'yes' for an entire year turned out to be one of the most amazing decisions I have ever made," Rhimes said. "It was also a little insane, a lot terrifying and sometimes wildly embarrassing. So, this is not a story I ever planned to share with anyone. However, once Simon & Schuster asked me, I had no choice - what else could I say but 'yes'?"

* Since the Disney empire hasn't come up with enough ways to hoover every single nickel out of every parent's pocket, the Mouse House is launching a line of toys that combine high-tech wearable gadgets and old-school superhero role-playing to keep kids moving while engrossing them in sub-plots from "The Avengers," "Star Wars" and "Frozen."

It's Disney's most ambitious game concept meshing real objects and virtual worlds since August 2013, when the family-entertainment giant released its Disney Infinity video game, which featured figurines and digital characters from "Pirates of the Caribbean," "Toy Story" and other franchises.

The new line, called "Disney's Playmation," hits stores in October (just in time for the holiday splurging season) with the release of a forearm attachment called a "repulsor" that puts kids in the role of Marvel superhero Iron Man.

This is as opposed to Tattle's "repulsor," which has a very different power.

Get Iggy with it

Iggy Azalea quickly recovered from the disappointment of her fall tour being canceled (again) by getting engaged. No need to spend time on rehearsals and logistics now, unless they're rehearsal dinners and wedding logistics.

And now she can spend time finding the perfect dress.

Uh, you may have to let it out a bit in the back.

Nick Young, of the Los Angeles Lakers, proposed to Iggy late Monday as they celebrated Young's 30th birthday. A short video of Azalea saying "yes" as Young proposed on bended knee was posted on the blog site Karen Civil.

Iggy, 25, posted a photo on Instagram of her hand graced with a diamond ring. Young wrote, "She said yes. It's over man. I'm getting married!" when he posted a photo of the couple kissing.

TATTBITS

* The Fifth Annual Burger Brawl (Sunday, June 14, 3-6 p.m. at XFINITY Live!, 1100 Pattison Ave.) is going to be even more awesome this year - Tattle's going to be a judge.

The burger bonanza, hosted by Rob and Maggie Wasserman (Rouge, 500 Degrees), has raised more than $500,000 in the last four years to help fund public schools.

There will be too many awesome burger concoctions, from many of the city's best restaurants, for us to list here, but suffice it to say you won't go away hungry.

Tickets are $35 for general admission, $100 for VIP. Free for children 10 and under. Tickets at phillyburgerbrawl.com

* A day after announcing that E L James had written a "Fifty Shades" novel from billionaire Christian Grey's point of view, "Grey" was No. 1 on Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.com as of midday yesterday.

James' "Fifty Shades of Grey" trilogy, the explicit romance between Grey and young Anastasia Steele, has sold more than 100 million copies worldwide.

The author said in a statement Monday that her new book, coming out June 18, was in response to numerous fan requests that she tell Christian's side of the story.

So she quickly whipped something up.
