Sideshow: Is Rebel Wilson a fraud?

Beware fame, for it brings out the haters. So it is for poor Rebel Wilson, the super-funnywoman whose picture Pitch Perfect 2 earned about a gazillion dollars in its opening week. According to Women's Wear Daily, when it comes to sharing facts about her life, Wilson has woven a tissue of lies and a fabric of fibs.

Exposing a funny liar

Beware fame, for it brings out the haters.

So it is for poor Rebel Wilson, the super-funnywoman whose picture Pitch Perfect 2 earned about a gazillion dollars in its opening week. According to Women's Wear Daily, when it comes to sharing facts about her life, Wilson has woven a tissue of lies and a fabric of fibs. She's 35 years old, for one, not 29, as she's claimed. (Or even as old 36, as a schoolmate from Sydney, Australia, tells the mag.) Rebel has told reporters her name is real - it was given to her by her kooky parents. Wrong. She was born Melanie Elizabeth Bownds.

Melanie, as we'll call her from now on, told Ellen DeGeneres that she grew up Down Under in what she tastefully termed a "ghetto."

Nope. She had a "very normal, upper-middle-class upbringing," Unnamed Source tells WWD.

Layzie Bone to the rescue!

Layzie Bone (Steven Howse) most certainly does not live up to his moniker, at least for one Wyoming man.

The Bone Thugs-n-Harmony rap 'n' hop musicmaker last weekend was on his way to a show in Riverton, Wyo., when he was almost hit by an erratic driver. The unnamed 24-year-old driver was swerving and had already caused several car crashes when he came to a stop near Mr. Bone's vehicle.

Layzie rushed over to the man and diagnosed him as suffering from diabetic shock.

He grabbed a "cute old couple in an RV" who happened to have some fruit juice with them and fed its life-giving sugars to the sick man.

"Dear Lord, thank you for your mercy, grace and forgiveness for 2nd chances," Mr. Bone says on Instagram.

Babs will school you

Learn about Barbra Streisand first-hand: The singer-actor has signed a deal with Viking to publish her memoirs in 2017.

"There are over 50 unauthorized biographies about Ms. Streisand that are full of myths and inaccuracies, and she is finally going to tell her own story," said Viking prez Brian Tart.

How much cash did Babs bag as an advance? No word.

Sure, we could get one too!

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson on Tuesday became a bona fide Hollywood A-list star: He added his handprints to the cement drying in front of the TCL Chinese Theatre in Lalaland.

More impressive still, Steven Spielberg attended the ceremony.

Tess Holliday scores cover

Plus-size model Tess Holliday, 29, is single-handedly ending the dastardly tyranny of zero-size, emaciated models.

The Mississippi native, who is a size 22, has landed her first major national mag, the cover of People.

"My phone still hasn't stopped ringing," she tells the mag. "It's good, but it's a lot!"

Holliday is featured in ad campaigns for Benefit Cosmetics and Torrid.
