Sideshow: Kylie Jenner admits to acquiring inflato-lips

Never in a million years would I have guessed that Kylie Jenner was not born with those flap-like subterranean creatures glued to her mouth - you know, where the lips should be. In a disturbing revelation that has rocked our world, Kim Kardashian's sis admits her lips have been bionically altered by Victor Frankenstein, M.D.

Kylie's shocking admission

Never in a million years would I have guessed that Kylie Jenner was not born with those flap-like subterranean creatures glued to her mouth - you know, where the lips should be. In a disturbing revelation that has rocked our world, Kim Kardashian's sis admits her lips have been bionically altered by Victor Frankenstein, M.D.

The truth comes by way of reality TV: Kylie, 17, admits in two new clips from Keeping Up With the Kardashians that she's had injections of what she gingerly calls "temporary lip fillers." Last month, she tweeted that "these plastic surgery rumors hurt my feelings to be honest and are kinda insulting."

Princess Charlotte heads out

Sadness and consternation among the media corps in London: Prince William and Duchess Kate have removed their new bairn, Princess Charlotte, from public view. The family - Prince George included - left their pad at Kensington Palace on Wednesday en route to the royals' country shack Anmer Hall in Norfolk, north of London. Charlotte won't be seen in public for months, the media are told.

And a lady shall lead them

Who'd have thunk it!? A comic book superhero show on TV with a female as the lead! On Wednesday, feminist trailblazer CBS picked up Supergirl for its fall prime-time lineup.

Based on the DC comics character Planet Krypton refugee Kara Zor-El, the heroine will be played by Melissa Benoist (Glee, Whiplash). Calista Flockhart, who portrayed pipe-cleaner-thin feminist activist par excellence Ally McBeal, will play Kara's employer. The gal-as-superhero thing hasn't played all that well on TV. Our two (very short-lived) favorites date back to the '90s - Witchblade (Yancy Butler) and Birds of Prey (Ashley Scott).

Country, rock, scissors . . .

Country act Zac Brown Band this week took the top spot on Billboard's album charts with its fourth studio LP, Jekyll + Hyde, selling 214,000 units.

The band beat out singer-songwriter Josh Groban's Stages, a collection of covers from musicals such as The Phantom of the Opera and Les Misérables. It's in second place with 180,000, while the Furious 7 soundtrack dropped a rung to No. 3 with 53,000 units.

Miranda makes mag history

Miranda Lambert has become the first human being ever to grace the cover of Country Living magazine. The home and lifestyle mag had shown only stuff on its cover since it was founded 36 years ago.

Miranda: Lots of dogs, 1 hub

Lambert, 31, tells the mag she's having a blast choosing designs for the new house she's building with Blake Shelton.

That's probably because so far she's worked only on the dogs' rooms. "A friend of mine recently said . . . '[A]ll you have on there are dog rooms,' " says Lambert, who lived in less than ideal circumstances as a child.

"My house was basically condemned when we got it," she says, "but my mother was determined to make it awesome."
