Sideshow: Mo'ne donates jersey to HOF

Mo'ne Davis, you and your Taney Dragons were great this summer in the Little League World Series in Williamsport. And on Thursday, you and your teammates (plus mates from your longtime travel team, the Anderson Monarchs) are going to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y., to donate your jersey! Mo'ne was the first female player in Little League history to win a game in the series.

Flyers fans cold to Ice Boys

Remember the Flyers Ice Girls? A dozen barely clad lovelies who cleaned the ice for the Philly Flyers of the National Hockey League, to the delight of the audience (about half of it, anyway)? Well, in June, Mother Jones ran an article in which Flyers Ice Girls called their jobs "torture," complained about pay, etc. Now the brilliant guys in the Flyers front office have solved the problem. Create a coed team, right? Naw! These geniuses put the Ice Girls on ice and replaced them with - a lame bunch of ice guys. At Monday's preseason opener at Wells Fargo, the new crew debuted and was roundly booed. Again and again. It's a Twitter thing now.

Jenners' mega-split all smiley

If only all divorces were this easy, right? You'd think the Kris and Bruce Jenner split would be a mess, what with all that property and money and fame and bad plastic surgery and reality TV and that. But in fact the Kardashian 'rents just divided a $60 million marital pot and said, "Thanks for the good times." No lawyers! Just their business managers dotting the tease and crossing the eyes. She gets to keep the Hidden Hills house, in case you're worried.
