Police want Miley's pal

Poor Miley Cyrus! Even her goodwill gestures backfire!

Seems the homeless man Miley brought to the VMAs Sunday to accept the best video of the year prize on her behalf is wanted by the police. Miley came to the glitzy gala accessorized with one Jesse Helt as a way to highlight the plight of homelessness.

The Statesman Journal of Salem, Ore., says there's a warrant out for Helt's arrest for multiple parole violations in Oregon.

Helt was paroled after a 2010 conviction for an attempted break-in at a flat in Salem. He violated parole by refusing to take a drug test and failing to report to his probation officer, the newspaper reports.

Miley on Tuesday stayed on message in a series of tweets. "People who are homeless have lived very hard lives. Jesse included," she said. "I hope that this can be the start of a national conversation about youth homelessness and how to end it."

Bieber in trouble. Again

TMZ says a fan who was snapping smartphone pics of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez on Monday night at a Los Angeles Dave & Buster's wants the Bieb arrested for battery and attempted theft! Seems the Bieb was perturbed by the unnamed fan's snapping and he lunged forward to grab the phone. His security detail held him back. Anonymous Source tells TMZ police have not questioned Bieber, but may do so if the fan files an official complaint.

Emmy ratings down

Monday night's Emmy Awards telecast on NBC was enjoyed by 15.6 mil viewers, the network said Tuesday, citing Nielsen ratings figures. (To be fair, it's unclear whether every one of those millions actually enjoyed the three-hour marathon of backslapping, faux tears, and strained saccharine smiles.)

Last year's CBS broadcast of the show drew 17.6 mil viewers.

It'll be Fullest House!

John Stamos, Bob Saget, and Dave Coulier may be playing house again before you know it.

The Hollywood Reporter says a revival of ABC's sitcom Full House is in the works and series creator Jeff Franklin is working hard to bring back as much of the original cast as possible. Candace Cameron Bure (D.J.), Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie), and Andrea Barber (Kimmy) also are on board. Stamos recently told Bravo's Watch What Happens Live he was "working on a twist on a sequel." The ABC sitcom ran for eight seasons from 1987 to 1995.
