Are you ready for some nerve?

NFL seeks money from halftime performers, Kevin Hart takes new fiancee to a strip club, a Bob Marley music and more.

DOES THE NFL have giant brass (foot)balls or what?

How much is enough for a league that makes billions off the concussions of modern-day gladiators?

According to the Wall Street Journal, the league has narrowed down its Super Bowl halftime options for 2015 to Katy Perry, Rihanna or Coldplay. In notifying the acts of the potential honor that awaited them, the NFL also asked if they might be willing to toss a few pennies the league's way from future tour income.

And if that bookkeeping seems too complicated, maybe a simple donation would work.

The NFL doesn't pay the acts as it is, just kicks in expenses and exposure.

Hopefully, the musicians won't pay the NFL, either.

Hart to ex-Hart

No wonder Kevin Hart is so funny. His real life sounds like a stand-up routine.

On Monday night's episode of "Atlanta Exes," Kevin's ex-wife, Torrei Hart, accused him of cheating on her.

Also on Monday night, TMZ.com reports, Kevin proposed to Eniko Parrish and then posted the video on Instagram.

(It's unclear which show got higher ratings.)

To celebrate the airing of "Atlanta Exes," Torrei took her co-stars to the Magic City strip club.

To celebrate his engagement, Kevin took his fiancee to the Magic City strip club.

Awkward . . .

Although the Harts sat reasonably close to each other, TMZ said that Kevin was too busy making it rain (he dropped a reported $40,000) to have any spousal drama.

Bollywood and crime

India's chief film censor, Rakesh Kumar, was arrested yesterday after accusations that he solicited bribes to speed a film through the strict, laborious process of keeping profanity, violence and hints of sexuality from Indian cinemas.

Bollywood film content is so prudish, the Central Board of Film Certification is legally empowered to protect audiences from content deemed overly stimulating.

That means no openmouth kissing, people.

And no chests touching during prom.

Police said Kumar, formerly a state railway official, was charged in Mumbai with soliciting payments in return for fast-tracking the approval for a film from the central India state of Chhattisgarh. Investigators arrested two other men last week in a sting in which the suspects allegedly sought 70,000 rupees, or about $1,150, on Kumar's behalf.

As the Bollywood film industry is worth more than $3 billion a year, these were some crappy bribes.

TATTBITS

* A musical about Bob Marley that uses the Jamaican reggae icon's music is in the works for next year.

Center Stage in Baltimore, in collaboration with New York's Public Theater, said yesterday that it would present the world premiere of the aptly titled "Marley," written and directed by company artistic director Kwame Kwei-Armah. It will run from May 6 to June 14.

The show focuses on 1975 to 1978, when Marley survived an attempted assassination in Jamaica and went into exile in London. It will feature such mid-'70s Marley albums as "Exodus," "Kaya" and "Rastaman Vibration."

* Julien's Auctions announced yesterday that items from Madonna's personal and professional life will be auctioned Nov. 7-8.

Pieces from her "Material Girl," "Music" and "American Pie" music videos will be offered during the Icons & Idols: Rock 'n' Roll auction in Beverly Hills. More than 30 items from the 1996 film "Evita" also will be available.

Julien's Auctions said that some of the awards that Madonna has won over the years also will be offered, including an MTV Video Music Award and an American Music Award.

The auction also will include lyrics, a diary from 1988, signed checks and a 1972 yearbook.

Are the signed checks cashed?

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson says he will play a role in an upcoming DC Comics movie adaption but has yet to decide between superhero Shazam and his archnemesis, Black Adam.

He may not have a hard time making a decision. He told the Associated Press on Monday that he has always been a fan of anti-heroes and that one of his favorite DC Comics characters is Black Adam.

Appearing in Mexico City to promote "Hercules," Johnson said he will make sure comic fans are not disappointed.

"I am putting my heart and soul and my bones into this role," he said.

* According to the Washington Post, Facebook has announced that it's experimenting with a tag that will mark sites such as the Onion, Clickhole and Empire News as satire and, hopefully, alert the millions of gullible people who share these sites as truth each week.

Will it also mark as satire the crazy rants of some of our friends? It's occasionally so difficult to tell when they're kidding.
