6ABC SPORTS reporter Jamie Apody welcomed her second son, Chase Alexander Coleman, early Saturday morning. Little Chase came in at 7 pounds and 20 inches long.

This is Apody's second son with husband Paul Coleman. Their first child, Tanner, is 21 months old and seems to be taking a shining to the new addition to the Coleman-Apody family.

Regular column readers know that there's been quite the baby parade at the news stations lately, including Apody's colleague, Nydia Han, and Fox 29's Kerry Barrett welcoming new babies this month.

Velshi, expanded

Al Jazeera America viewers will get a little more of Bryn Mawr-based economist Ali Velshi. The host of "Real Money with Ali Velshi" will see his show expanded to an hour, airing Monday to Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Velshi was formerly CNN's chief business correspondent before jumping ship to kick off Al Jazeera America. Currently, he's one of the flailing network's only bright spots and his expanded role only shows how much better he's doing ratingswise than the AJAM's other shows.

Tan Mom finds opponent

Celeb boxing promoter Damon Feldman has found someone to take on Patricia Krentcil, a/k/a Tan Mom, the artificially browned mother and favorite of Howard Stern who made waves when she took her young daughter to a tanning salon. Krentcil will take on Angela Cottone, an aspiring recording artist who goes by MILF Mom, to prove that the R.E.M. song about it being the end of the world as we know it came out a few decades too early.

Happy Mother's Day, guys!

OUT AND ABOUT

* Think they requested "Hotel California"? Eagles Jason Kelce, Riley Cooper and Casey Matthews checked out Center City dueling piano bar Howl at the Moon (258 S. 15th St.) on Saturday night. I heard they are regulars at the bar and total stand-up guys, taking pics with fans and singing along with the music.

When I called general manager Chris Cevero to confirm their appearance, he raved about Cooper, Kelce and Matthews, saying that they personally thanked staff and tipped well, unlike other athletes (which I'll keep mum on) he had to deal with before moving to work in Philly.

* Former boxer Mike Tyson was in town yesterday, stopping by KeVen Parker's Ms. Tootsie's (1312 South St.) to sign autographs and hobnob along with former Sexy Single Sixx King. Tyson's wife, Lakiha Spicer, is a Philly native and her family resides here. The couple, who were married in 2009, have two children together.

* My man pots and pans Jerry Blavat and buddies headed to Bliss (220 S. Broad St.) after the Geator hosted the Ultimate Doo Wop Reunion on Saturday night at the Kimmel Center. Joining the party were WMMR's Pierre Robert, singer Bobby Rydell and U.S. Rep. Bob Brady.

* I hear Mayor Nutter enjoyed the tunes at Center City Jazz Fest all weekend long, hitting up venues like Fergie's Pub (1214 Sansom St.), Chris' Jazz Cafe (1421 Sansom St.), Time (1315 Sansom St.) and Milkboy (1100 Chestnut St.). Our own Jon Takiff chatted it up with the mayor, who told our esteemed music critic, "We're going to help them next year to get into more and bigger venues. What a great event. Jazz is back!"
