A chateau fit for Kimye

Rumors are greatly exaggerated that Kanye West and Kim Kardashian plan to hold their scandalous, moneymaking circus sideshow (i.e., their wedding) at France's opulent Palace of Versailles, which Louis XIV made his HQ in 1682.

No, it's another more recent gaudy, over-the-top spot the couple are eyeing: the equally luxurious, if seriously nouveau and arriviste, Château Louis XIV, a faux 17th-century-style pile constructed between 2008 and 2011.

People mag says while Kimye were in France arranging details for their nuptials, they fell in love with the Disneyfied palace.

Director accused of child abuse

Acclaimed director Bryan Singer (X-Men franchise, Superman Returns) has been accused of sexually harassing a former teen model. Michael Egan III filed a lawsuit in Hawaii Wednesday that alleges that the filmmaker forced Egan to have sex with him in 1999, when Egan was 17.

The lawsuit said Singer, 48, was one among a ring of Hollywood industry men who abused Egan at sex parties. It accuses Singer of plying Egan with drugs and threatening him if he ever talked about the abuse.

Gossip petits fours

Mary Tyler Moore Show and Rhoda star Valerie Harper, 74, who has terminal brain cancer, is not cured, as a Closer Weekly report suggests. Harper says she simply told the mag the rest of her body was cancer-free. . . . Actor Will Arnett (The Millers) has filed for divorce from actress Amy Poehler (Parks & Recreation), nearly 18 months after the couple announced they were separating.
