Beyonce and Jay-Z celebrate cinco in Cuba

Beyonce and Jay-Z caused a big stir in the Cuban capital Thursday as they marked their fifth wedding anniversary.

R&B's power couple was mobbed by dozens of well-wishers at the renowned restaurant La Guarida on Wednesday night, where they dined on typical Cuban creole favorites - fish, chicken, black beans and rice. They were accompanied by their mothers.

Awww . . .

Their bodyguards' presence outside the restaurant set the neighborhood of Center Havana abuzz, and a crowd gathered downstairs shouting Beyonce's name until she went to a balcony and waved.

"Don't cry for me, Cuba . . . "

Police arrived and made sure she was able to exit without incident.

On Thursday, the couple toured colonial Old Havana wearing dark glasses and surrounded by bodyguards and excited fans. Beyonce posed for pictures with local schoolchildren while Jay-Z puffed on a Cuban cigar, and then they popped into another restaurant that boasts a rooftop terrace with a sweeping view of the harbor.

Beyonce and Jay-Z declined to speak to reporters, and it was not clear why they traveled to Cuba. State-run website CubaSi called it a tourist trip.

Except everyone knows that there's a 51-year embargo making it illegal for U.S. citizens to visit Cuba for mere tourism.

So they must have beem there for some other reason.

* Locally-based business guru Ali Velshi is leaving CNN. Today is his last day. According to the Huffington Post, he's going to become a host at Al Jazeera America.

* "Arrested Development" will be reborn, on Netflix, on May 26.

The subscription service said that all 15 episodes of the comedy series will be posted at once, but Tattle recommends watching them one at a time.

The Mitchell Hurwitz sitcom starring Jason Bateman was canceled by Fox in 2006 after three seasons.

In a statement, Netflix chief executive Ted Sarandos says that the return of the cultishly beloved "Arrested Development" "is sure to make history all over again."

In response, Hurwitz joked that Sarandos is "going to be immensely disappointed."

* Denny's has opened a wedding chapel in Las Vegas.

The first couple to tie the knot in the new chapel were Nancy Levandowski and Steven Keller, of Ames, Iowa.

ABC News reported that after their vows, the couple shared a slice of the "Pancake Puppie" wedding cake and raised a toast with "Grand Slamosa" cocktails.

Guests dined on . . . Denny's.

So it's no more "chicken or fish?" in the invitations, it's "New Chicken Loaded Potato Skillet or Tilapia Ranchero?"

* Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter, who proposed to fitness trainer Lauren Kitt in February, says that their marriage could be filmed for a TV special.

"There have been offers and opportunities to film the actual wedding, like a TV show," Carter said in a recent interview.

"I was up for it to a certain degree, but then at the same time, I might not even do that. We might just keep it private. We'll see what's up."

Carter and Kitt haven't set a wedding date, but he says that they're thinking about "early next year."

* The TLC network is making a movie about some of the 800,000 condolence letters that were sent to the widow of former President John F. Kennedy after his 1963 assassination.

"Letters to Jackie" will air this fall, as the 50th anniversary of Kennedy's killing approaches on Nov. 22.

Twenty celebrities will read the letters, including Zooey Deschanel, Kirsten Dunst, Anne Hathaway, Mark Ruffalo, Betty White and Michelle Williams.

* TMZ.com reports that the "personal reasons" why Richie Sambora isn't touring with Bon Jovi are because he and Jon are fighting - over money.

So what else is new?

* Jerry Springer is getting another television show.

The Investigation Discovery network said Thursday that Springer will be host of "Tabloid," a new weekly series that will look at some of the bizarre stories in the tabloids found at supermarket-checkout lines.

The series will debut early next year when Springer interviews Elvis Presley in a North Dakota diner and then is abducted by aliens.
