Dan Gross: Barbra Streisand spotted leaving Four Seasons in Philadelphia

BARBRA STREISAND doesn't do lobbies. The diva, in town early to prepare for the launch of her new tour, was ushered out a side door at the Four Seasons on Sunday afternoon. Streisand, who rehearsed at the Liacouras Center last week and performed Monday at the Wells Fargo Center, released a new album on Tuesday.

Italian teenage singing sensations Il Volo, who opened for Streisand, did their "Rocky" runs up the Art Museum steps and also visited the Liberty Bell.

Hotel Monaco (5th & Chestnut) opened to overnight guests last Thursday. It took less than two days for a guest to file a report with Philadelphia police.

A 38-year-old male guest told police that his cellphone and a wallet containing credit cards were stolen from his suite between midnight and 8:30 a.m. Saturday. His hotel door did not close properly, and he was awaiting hotel maintenance to fix it, according to the police report.

The theft occurred in a suite, and the victim told police he may have been there at the time but in a separate room. Police say that he gave no description of the alleged thief and that no arrests have been made.

A hotel manager said he would never discuss confidential guest information with a newspaper.

While this poor fellow may not have had fun, it seems Mayor Nutter had a nice time at the hotel's Stratus Lounge, having had drinks there Friday and Saturday nights. State Sen. Larry Farnese dined at the Monaco's Red Owl restaurant and then checked out Stratus on Saturday night.

And as we told you in Monday's column, former Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb also had a few drinks at Stratus on Friday.

Craig Robinson, who plays Darryl Philbin on "The Office," stopped by Helium (2031 Sansom) late Saturday night with his band after a show in the area.

The comedian, who has performed at Helium before, hung out for a few hours, singing and chatting with fans.

* "Rescue Me" actor Steven Pasquale and "Freaks and Geeks" alum Samm Levine were part of a "Do No Harm" cast party at West Tavern (15th & Callowhill) Friday night. A large group from the upcoming NBC series hung out late at the bar, and a director of the show picked up the large bill. Pasquale, who reportedly gave a huge tip, left his credit card behind but returned the next day to pick it up.

Buckcherry, whose single "Lit Up," about the California hard rockers' love of cocaine, helped the group find fame in the 1990s, headline a free concert at Xfinity Live on Saturday night.

Lit, whose biggest hit was "My Own Worst Enemy," also performs, as does central Pennsylvania's Crobot. The free show starts at 7:45 p.m.

Ron Cutler, better known as veteran Philly radio DJ Ron Diamond, is just out with a book, How I Turned $15,000 into $10,000,000 and You Can Too.
