Jon Gosselin pulled hundreds of thousands of dollars out of a joint account with his estranged wife, Kate, last week, leaving her with $1,000, according to a Radar Online report yesterday. Kate plans to go to court today to demand that the money be returned, according to Radar.

The report followed a turbulent week in which TLC said it would continue reality show Jon & Kate Plus 8 without Jon, as Kate Plus 8. Jon insisted that the cable network stop filming their children and production was halted. People.com said a rep for Jon had no immediate comment on the bank allegations.

The undead live

The undead were alive and well at movie theaters as Woody Harrelson's horror comedy, Zombieland, opened on top with $25 million, according to studio estimates. The general box office was less lively, with overall Hollywood revenues at $113.4 million, down 4 percent from the same weekend last year.

Sony scored a one-two punch with Zombieland and the animated Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, which took in $16.7 million. The weekend's No. 3, with $12.5 million, was a double-feature reissue of Disney's Toy Story and Toy Story 2 in 3-D.

The roller-derby tale Whip It, starring Ellen Page and Drew Barrymore, who also directed, made a weak debut at No. 6 with $4.85 million, tied with Michael Moore's Capitalism: A Love Story, which expanded nationwide.

'SNL' on Letterman

Add Saturday Night Live to the shows making sport of David Letterman. On Thursday, the Late Show host acknowledged having sex with women who worked for him, and told viewers he was the victim of a blackmail attempt. On SNL, "Weekend Update" anchor Seth Meyers dubbed the alleged extortion attempt by a CBS News producer "a stupid human trick." Meyers added that the alleged would-be blackmailer was threatening to reveal embarrassing details of Letterman's personal life, then gave a joking example: "After sex, he would always say, 'Stay tuned for Craig Ferguson.' "
